When in Rome, do as the Romans do!

That History Bloke will help your Romans topic come to life with a series of activities for your class - listen to a lyre, tie a toga, march with the military and scribble like a scribe...

Our session starts with a little music and costume work before launching into the world of a Roman soldier using weapons, armour and other artefacts (some of which are a bit of a mystery!)...

After a handling session using our artefacts we will learn about how the Romans used to write, either using styluses and ink or wax tablets.

We will end the session by learning how to play an Ancient Roman board game - who will be victorious?
