It's all Greek to us!

Learn about how Spartans, Athenians, Corinthians and other Ancient Greek peoples lived.

We begin with a fun quiz that involves your children becoming Athenian voters to decide on the right answers to some tricky questions - along the way, we will learn about voting, slaves, language and customs in Ancient times...

Afterwards, we will focus on battle - feel and experience replica hoplite body armour, helmets, shields and weapons. With the weight of that shield, could the hoplite 'hop lightly'?

After our handling session, we will learn about the writing of the great Greek thinkers - try writing your name in in with a bamboo stylus, or on a wax tablet.

Finally, we will learn to play a great and groovy Greek game!

This is a fun and fact-filled half day session that will engage the whole class.
